I attended Manley Elementary School, West View Middle, and Morristown West High School.  I went to Walters State for 2 years then went on to graduate from Carson Newman with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education.  I obtained my Master's Degree from East Tennessee State University in Library Science and am currently working on my Doctorate through Carson Newman.

I was born and raised in Morristown, TN. I have known that I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember.  I started out teaching Special Education at Sevierville Middle School for 3 years before returning to Morristown.  I taught first grade for 1 year and 4th grade for 6 years at Fairview-Marguerite Elementary School.  In 2012, I moved to Union Heights to become the Librarian.  This is my sixth year in the Library and it is truly the best job I've ever had.
I married my wonderful husband, Gabe, in 2007.  We have 2 sons - Colt (age 20) and Owen (age 18), and 2 very spoiled dogs - Chloe & Kash.  We live on a farm with lots of cows, a pig, a friendly cat named Mr. Tom, and a number of wild cats who live in the barn.

I enjoy reading (of course!), watching movies, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.  In the summer, I spend most days lounging in my cousin's pool.  Weekends are spent relaxing on our boat at the lake.  In the Fall, we enjoy hiking with the dogs, roasting marshmallows on the campfire, and attending local festivals.
