I have worked with children in children's programs over 11 years. I started my career with the Department of Children's Services where I worked with abused and neglected children. I left DCS after 6 years to come to Hamblen County Schools. I have worked as a school counselor in Hamblen County for 5 years at Whitesburg and Union Heights Elementary Schools.

I grew up in Southwestern Virginia but made my home in Tennessee when I went to Carson-Newman in 1994. I now live in White Pine with my husband, daughter and 4 four-legged babies. 2 dogs- Pepper, and Spooky and 1 cat-Lola.  In my free time, I love the outdoors, fitness, and chasing my daughter around.
